Steve is delighted to have played a part in the music recording for SEIMEI starring Japan's Kabuki legend and renowned actor, Ichikawa Danjuro. Thanks to SUGIZO, who invited Steve to record drum & percussion parts for his main theme composition, Steve had the opportunity to combine rhythm designs with the traditional sounds of Japanese Taiko.
SEIMEI is a Japanese musical theatre production that brings the world of Abe no Seimei (a renowned Onmyoji from the Heian period) to life as a new form of entertainment.
We understand that the Osaka performances will take place from February 19 to 24, and the Tokyo performances from March 1 to 23.
